Charlotte Moore

I work in wet felting techniques to make wearables, rugs, and utilitarian pieces. I have followed my conviction that my art should engage its viewers in a tactile as well as an intellectual and emotional manner. The depth and immediacy of felt offer that additional dimension. My art pieces explore both personal and communal barriers. They aim to be political and provocative, by expressing the effect of actions that create humanitarian crises. My recent work details my distress, particularly as a Jew, over the Israeli government’s illegal activities against the Palestinian people.
