In the Making: An Evening with the Artist

Featuring Patti Dowse, Camilla MacFadyen & Jerin Brooks

Spend an evening exploring the many ways artists transform materials into meaningful work.
This special ArtWalk edition of In the Making features three artists working in textiles, wearable art, and jewelry. Meet the makers, learn about their creative processes, and discover how reclaimed materials, fiber, fabric, silver, and handcraft become one-of-a-kind works of art.

Visitors are invited to engage with the artists, ask questions, and experience creativity in action throughout the evening.

Patti Dowse
Creator of Rags2Riche$, Patti transforms vintage finds, reclaimed fabrics, and discarded garments into whimsical, wearable pieces. Bring a favorite top to be altered on the spot, collaborate on a new creation, or explore the art of upcycling.

Camilla MacFadyen
A textile and mixed-media artist known for her imaginative wearable work and richly layered creations, Camilla shares the materials, inspirations, and techniques behind her distinctive artistic practice.

Jerin Brooks
Jeweler and founder of Sampo Silver Studio, Jerin creates handcrafted jewelry that reflects a deep respect for materials, craftsmanship, and design. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about his process and the journey from raw material to finished piece.

Markings Gallery, located in Bath, Maine, is a vibrant art space that showcases a diverse range of artwork by talented artists from Maine.
